We had a lovely evening in Ukiah, California with Wade Reynolds and his wife Mara Montiel De La Mora. (We have enjoyed excellent hospitality this entire tour. And it has been a treat re-connecting with friends we don’t get to see very often.) Mara and Wade fed us a big dinner, and then we all sat out on their deck, surrounded by grape vines and white lights. The weather was perfect, warm with a slight breeze. The best part was that we all played music together.
Wade and Mara perform as Amor Loco – sometimes with a band, sometimes in the increasingly popular duo format. Mara learned to sing growing up in a musical family in Mexico. We met Wade through his brother, Bill (who is a very successful musician and producer). We reminisced about his days playing guitar around Asheville. Wade and Mara write beautiful songs together. We are lucky to know them.
